This is by far the BEST BET ON THE BOARD. Today is REDEMPTION DAY. JOIN ME & CRUSH THE BOOKS! Friday’s FREE WINNER: Houston Astros. Game 925. 4:10 PM PST/7:10 PM EST. After slow starts at the beginning of this regular season, both the Houston Astros and the New York Mets are starting to show signs of life. Houston is in second place in American League West, 4.5-games back, at 40–40. New York is in third place in the National League East, 12.5-games back, at 39-39. The Astros enter this matchup winning seven in a row, while the Mets have won eight of their last 10. Due to poor performances early on in the campaign, they're home and away numbers aren't the most impressive; Astros 16-21 on the road, Mets 20-23 at home. To be quite honest, both at the plate and on the mound, they possess very similar statistics. Looking back over their most recent contests, I would say the difference between the two teams has been in pitching. The Astros pitching staff has allowed three runs or less in eight of their last 10 games, while the Mets staff has allowed five runs or more in five of their last 10 games. Speaking of pitching, Ronel Blanco and Jose Quintana are scheduled here. The Houston right-hander is 8-2 with a 2.34 ERA overall, which does include a 5-0 record with a 1.98 ERA on the road. The New York left-hander is 3-5 with a 4.58 ERA on the campaign, sporting a 1-3 record with a 3.49 ERA at home. I will also give us a big edge here due to the fact Quintana has given up a lot of home runs and he must face one of the best home run hitting lineup in baseball. Take the Astros. Thank you.
