Saturday, August 26, 2023 Nashville, Tennessee 4:30 PM PT Hawaii @ Vanderbilt Commodores -17.5/55.5 Last seasons, August meeting saw the Commodores maul the Rainbow Warriors in Hawaii, 63-10. Neither team is known for the defensive prowess. Granted, Vandy plays in the SEC against much stronger competition. But if you recall a season ago, they did allow nonconference opponents, Elon and Northern Illinois to post 31 and 28 points. Both teams should have no problem throwing the ball with success here. I do expect Hawaii to try to get a little bit of revenge from last year’s drubbing. And be much more comfortable under HC, Timmy Chang’s run-and-shoot “O”. With both teams expected to win only 3.5 games this season, both head coaches will have their squads primed, prepared, and revved up here. Expect a ton of scoring. So much so, they may have to change out the bulbs on the scoreboard. Over 55.5 is the play. Thank you.
