It is about which team covers, and making Saint Mary's an underdog at home, I feel as a mistake made by the odds makers. They enter this match up winning nine in a row, and sporting an overall record of 19-3. This does include a perfect 9-0 record in the WCC. They have taken two of the last three meetings against Gonzaga, both straight up and against the spread. Speaking of the Bulldogs, they are certainly a very good team at 16-6 overall, and 7-2 in conference play. But I think we can all agree that they get seriously overvalued by odds makers. They have failed to cover 11 of their last 14 games. Yes, they possess the second-best scoring offense in the nation. But they are going up against a defense that ranks seventh in college basketball, and allows a mere, 61.0 points per game. By the way, St. Mary's is also just as strong on the offensive boards as they are the defensive boards. Like I said earlier, I think giving them points at home is a mistake. Take the Gaels. Thank you.
