The Celtics got the 116-100 win in game three thanks to dominating in both the first and fourth quarters and now have a 2-1 lead in the series. Golden State did not get out of the gate well in this game and after taking the lead in the third quarter really got roughed up in the fourth to eventually lose.
The Warriors kind of have their backs against the wall after losing one at home and not bouncing back in their first chance at a road win. Steph is apparently healthy after having Al Horford dive onto his leg/ankle area and they will need everything he can give them as he had another 30-point performance in game three. Golden State got crushed on the boards 31-47. That number needs to get a lot closer for the Warriors to find a road win. Klay played well in game three which is a great sign and while Wiggins didn’t shoot well from deep he still had 18 points on 7-16 from the field. Draymond Green was one of the biggest reasons for this loss as he had two points and is becoming a more and more glaring black hole on offense.
Boston got solid performances from everyone on their starting lineup to come away with the game three win. Tatum shot only 9-23 from the field but came away with 26 points and Jaylen Brown actually looked like Boston’s best offensive option as he was much more efficient and seems like an absolute matchup nightmare for Golden State. Marcus Smart had a good shooting night and both Williams and Horford were efficient and constant threats on the interior. The Celtics bench is not great but provided just enough and it seems like Boston’s starters are more than comfortable playing these heavy minutes.
Take the over as our free pick on this game as I think both teams can shoot the ball a little bit better!
