Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: Georgia vs. Michigan
Friday, December 31, 2021 7:30 PM
Play: Point Spread: 7.5/-110 Michigan
As long as Michigan is able to run and control the game vs the Georgia defense, they can keep the Dogs' explosive offense off the field. They are on another level when it comes to grinding the ball, they have run the ball a whopping 548 times as a team, this season. It's a tough task between Hassan Haskins and Blake Corum when they are healthy and firing away - they can be more than difficult for any team to keep a tab on. They have ground and pounded everyone they have faced this season. If Georgia brings a low end rush, Michigan's QB, the often criticized Cade McNamara, has the ability to fire darts to his WRs. Georgia has a lot of talented front line guys on D - none that are dominant - so the Wolverines have to be on high alert all game long. Georgia has only allowed 2.61 YPC this season to opponents, which is just ridiculous - but Haskins is just a bit more than an average back when it comes to a combination of speed and massive power. Michigan doesn't have the most mobile QB - but if he can grab a couple yards here and there, it would loosen up the defense a little bit more, where he can hit Erick All on quick slants, and then take shots downfield to Cornelius Johnson. This year just seems different for the Wolverines. Wolverines are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games Michigan wins taking the points
