Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: Georgia Tech vs. Stanford
Saturday, September 26, 2026 10:30 PM
Play: Point Spread: -3.5/-105 Georgia Tech
Take #419 Georgia Tech Over Stanford Georgia Tech enters ACC play at 1-2, but the Yellow Jackets showed significant offensive upside in last week's 44-11 win over Mercer. Alberto Mendoza threw for a career-high 249 yards and three touchdowns, while Justice Haynes produced 167 total yards and three scores. Stanford, meanwhile, has dropped consecutive games to Miami and Duke by a combined 80-13. The Cardinal managed just seven points against Duke after scoring only six against Miami, and the offense has struggled to sustain drives against stronger competition. Mendoza should have opportunities against a Stanford defense that has surrendered 208.8 passing yards per game, and the Yellow Jackets have a major opportunity to get their offense rolling against a Cardinal team that has struggled badly since its season-opening win over Hawai'i. The matchup also favors Georgia Tech's ability to create pressure and force Stanford into obvious passing situations. If the Yellow Jackets can establish the run and Mendoza avoids the mistakes that hurt him against Tennessee, I expect Tech to control the second half.
