We actually really like Georgia Tech as a darkhorse team in the ACC this season, but this is going to be a very tricky road contest for the Yellow Jackets out of the gate in a hostile environment. A lot of people are probably more down than they should be on Colorado coming into the season, given Hunter and Sanders moving on to the NFL, but there’s some clear reasons why we feel the Buffaloes can surprise in the Big 12 this year. First of all, Colorado has built up some more depth compared to where they were in the first year under head coach Prime, especially on the OL and DL where we give the edge to Colorado on both sides compared to Georgia Tech. The X-factor for us is Salter and his ability to extend plays and get out of trouble with his speed. As good as Sanders was for Colorado, he was prone to getting sacked, and we see that turning around in a big way for the Buffaloes this season with a solid OL paired with a mobile QB. Colorado has some of the better O-line tackles in college football with Seaton and Hill. This is going to be an awesome matchup, but with the home field advantage and the edge in our opinion at the QB position, we like Colorado getting the points.
