Fresno State is starting to look like one of the more complete teams in the Pac 12. The Bulldogs beat Rice 38-24 while producing 459 total yards, including 249 rushing, and have now won three straight. QB Jayden Mandal was efficient, completing 22 of 34 for 210 yards and three touchdowns without an interception, while RB Rayshon Luke picked up 167 yards on just 11 carries. Fresno State has also protected the football extremely well recently limiting turnovers & limiting mistakes. Defensively, the Bulldogs haven’t quite been dominant snap-to-snap, but they've been opportunistic; against San Jose State they forced four interceptions and recorded five sacks. Washington State hasn’t looked great in their tougher tests so far this season going 0-3 against FBS opponents. The Cougars have not shown a consistent ability to create offense as the Cougars rank 128th in the nation in offensive production. We’re also keeping an eye on a number of injuries Washington State is dealing with on the offensive side of the ball. We’re skeptical the Cougars will able to produce long offensive drives against a veteran defense that can be very opportunistic.

Fresno State showed us they can perform on the road as was evident in their solid win at San Jose State. Fresno State's balance, turnover avoidance and defensive playmaking give it several paths to win outright, but we feel comfortable taking the road team with the points.
