Guys, as one of the most acclaimed NCAAF cappers in the business, I will start off the campaign with a BIG PAYDAY. I posted on sites and did videos for 4 free games thus far, going 4-0. Saturday’s FREE WINNER: Fresno State Bulldogs Game 167. 9:00 AM PST/12:00 PM EST. Guys, I’m fully aware of the fact that Fresno State plays in the Mountain West, while Purdue plays in the Big Ten. Furthermore, I have a good memory, so I remember that Purdue played in the Conference Championship last December as well. Both teams are without their starting quarterbacks from a season ago. It’s not going to be easy for the Bulldogs to replace a guy like Jake Haner. Nor is it going to be easy for the Boilermakers to fill the departed shoes of Aidan O’Connell. Boilermakers, departed, head, coach, Jeff Brown, really wasn’t known for developing players. Whispers are the new boss; Ryan Walters still has his work cut out for him. Bulldogs head coach, Jeff Tedford has a much stronger reputation developing backups of departed stars. If momentum plays a factor, it certainly edges FSU here. After a sluggish start a season ago, they rattled off eight consecutive SU victories (going 6-2 ATS) to end the regular season. And then manhandled Washington State in a December 17th Bowl, 29-6. After getting a beat down in the Conference Championship in early December at the hands of Michigan, Purdue then took one of the worst beatings in last year’s Bowl season, getting thumped, 63-7 at the hands of LSU. Granted, overall, Purdue may face some tougher opposition. But Fresno State returns a very stout defense here. Certainly, strong enough to slow down the Boilermakers offense. Many out there, including my staff that I feel like this could be a lower-scoring game. With a stronger defense and a reported much-improved ground attack, I have to take the 3.5 points with the visiting Bulldogs. Take the 3.5 with Fresno State. Thank you.
