Neither team was able to cover the line at home in the opening round of the tournament as Florida was favored by 6.5 points only to win by five and Xavier was favored by 12 points against Cleveland State but only prevailed by four. The Musketeers are at home, where they have posted a 14-5 record, while the Gators are just 4-6 on the road this season. Both teams have moved on from their coaches so it’s a battle of interim coaches here with Pinkins and Jonah Hayes. There’s not a ton to be excited about with either team here but the Musketeers have a better offensive unit and playing at home, I think they have the edge and can cover the 3-pt spread here on Sunday afternoon.
