Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: Florida vs. Alabama

The Florida Gators have quietly been putting up some strong results this season standing 12-3 overall and 3-0 in the SEC. Florida always brings the effort on both sides of the ball as the Gators rank about 70th in the nation in both scoring average and total defense. The Gators have been taking care of business in the SEC and in their last outing Florida was able to handle Tennessee at home picking up the win by a final of 83-70. In their one road SEC game thus far Florida took down Arkansas in a tough environment by a final of 81-72. Florida has some decent offensive depth and the Gators have been led by KeVaughn Allen who’s averaging 14.7 points per game. Alabama is a work in progress on the offensive side of the ball, but this group has shown they can be competitive playing in the half court leaning on their defense. Alabama has been a bit up and down standing 9-5 overall and 2-0 in the SEC and this squad currently ranks just 287th in the nation in scoring average compared to an elite 13th in total defense. Florida has shown they can get the job done on the road in their conference opening win against Arkansas and it’ll be interesting to see how the Gators are able to handle this Alabama defense today on the road. We’re not all that high on this Alabama squad given their offensive deficiencies and we feel like the Gators should able to continue to play well as they go on to win and cover the spread.
