Going strictly by the trends, the visitor in the Eastern Michigan and Ball State matchup has covered eight of the last nine meetings. Both teams score about the same. And both teams give up about the same. But in my opinion the Eagles are a vastly improved team this season. I know they come off a fairy ugly and embarrassing loss at home against Northern Illinois last week. A team in which the Cardinals went to the mat with a few weeks ago in overtime. But EMU will come in here motivated this week in bounce back mode for sure. And also have an added factor, revenge. This is a triple-revenge situation for Eastern Michigan as they have dropped the last three meetings with Ball State. This is certainly a game that Eagles head coach, Chris Creighton has had circled since the schedule came out. And by the way, I do feel the Cardinals are in for a big let-down here after two outright victories against the Huskies and the Chippewas and then being over confident last week against UConn. A game in which they won and did not cover. Eastern Michigan catches Ball State finally and gets the win here.
