Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: Duke vs. Pittsburgh
Saturday, November 19, 2022 12:00 PM
Play: Point Spread: -7/-110 Pittsburgh
The boys from Durham travel to the Steel City for a Saturday game against the host Panthers. The Devils come in riding a three-game winning streak after their win over Virginia Tech 24 to 7 last week. The Panthers are on a two-game winning streak after defeating Virginia 37 to 7 as a -5.5-point road favorite last week. Duke’s offense averages 33.7 points per game with their defense allowing an average of 21.5 points per game. Pitt averages 30.3 points per game while allowing just under twenty-four points per game. Based on those numbers these teams are relatively close. You certainly cannot count on those types of numbers to tell the story of this contest. More research is needed to determine who gets the spread victory today. We know the Panthers are 6-0 ATS the last six in the series. The host in the series is 17-3-1 against the number and the favorite has covered in seven of the last eight Panthers games. Our TPR Index projects a point advantage of 11.83 points in favor of the Panthers. The MM projects a point differential of 4.86 points against the current line range. The SIM Matrix has the Pitt Panthers with a 60.48 percent advantage against the oddsmakers number tonight. Duke coming off a home game and now facing a division foe are only 16-30 ATS including 8-23 ATS if they are on the road. Duke coming off an ATS win at home and now installed as a conference road underdog are 0-6 ATS. The Panthers coming off an Over on the road in their last game and now face a division opponent are a perfect 10-0 ATS including 5-0 ATS if they are playing at home. Play ON CFB home favorites in the current price range coming off a SU/ATS win on the road, 66-39-2 ATS. With solid support for the Panthers, we will lay the chalk with them on Saturday.
