For my free play today, I want to talk about a big ACC matchup as the Blue Devils travel to sunny Miami to face the Hurricanes. My friends, overnight and early morning money today is coming in on Miami. The general public loves betting on teams that have good home records. Granted, the Hurricanes are a perfect, 12-0 at the Watsco Center this season. But they are just 6-6 ATS when playing host. They are tied for third place in the ACC, currently possessing a league mark of 9-4. However, they are catching a Blue Devils team that has won three in a row straight up. Granted, maybe sports bettors are looking at the fact Duke has only covered one of their last seven as a guest. But this team is starting to heat up, and they need every win they can get right now. Offensively, Miami does score a little bit more. However, they are facing one of the best all-around defenses in college basketball today. The Blue Devils allow just 63.4-points per game, just 30% from beyond the arc, and just under 41% overall from the floor. They’re also one of the best in the nation on the defensive glass. Oh, by the way they also have a top-10 offensive rebounding core as well. So, look for them to get a lot of second-chance shots. The last four games in this conference rivalry have been settled by 2, 2, 4, and 2-points. I expect another tight game here. So, I’m going to side with the underdog, which has covered four straight in this series. Take Duke. Thank you.
