Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors
Monday, April 18, 2022 10:00 PM
Play: Point Spread: 7/-110 Denver Nuggets
Golden State got a comfortable game one win 123-107 and saw Jordan Poole go nuts for 30 points in an insanely efficient playoff performance. Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins both played incredibly well and Draymond Green even had some offensive production. Jokic and Barton were a two man squad last night as they got help from no one else and Aaron Gordon was basically nowhere to be found scoring only eight points and going 0-3 from deep. The most noteworthy stat of this game could be that Denver shot 13 free throws and Golden State shot a staggering 29. Denver is going to have to get more from players not named Jokic if they are going to win this game and really they just need to shoot the ball better and get some calls. No Nuggets player made more than two three pointers and Jokic only played 35 minutes thanks to the game being a blowout and a little foul trouble. The Warriors are unlikely to continue shooting quite this well and I also do not think they can depend on having such a huge free throw advantage. Golden State seems to have found a new and deadly death lineup but they are not going to want to waste playing it a ton of minutes in a series they are basically guaranteed to win. Take Denver and the points as a small play as our free pick on this game. I see Jokic playing much better and making some shots as well as Aaron Gordon playing better and some Warriors shooting stats correcting to some sort of reasonable average.
