Sunday’s FREE WINNER: San Francisco Giants on the RUN LINE.
Game 908.
1:05 PM PST/4:05 PM EST.
San Francisco is trying to gain some ground in the competitive, NL West. They sit in 4th place, 10.5-games back in the Division, with an overall record of 52-55. The Colorado Rockies, are just waiting for the regular season to end. They own the worst record in the National League at 38-68 overall. They sit in the last place in the Division, 24.0-games back. The team owns middle of the road statistics offensively. But they're pitching staff has been absolutely deplorable, ranking 30th, with a Team ERA of 5.54. In this series alone, they have been outscored by a combined, 20-5. As a matter of fact, they have lost nine of the 12 meetings with their Division rival in 2024. Today's scheduled starters are Austin Gomber and Jordan Hicks. The Rockies left-hander is 2-6 with a 4.70 ERA in 2024, which includes a road record of 1-5 with a 5.61 ERA. He has won just one of his last 10 starts. Over his career in eight games, which includes six starts against the San Francisco, he is 2-4 with a 7.27 ERA. The Giants right-hander is 4-7 with a 4.01 ERA, which does include a home record of 2-3 with a 3.71 ERA. Granted hasn't pitched too much better, and the team has dropped his past five turns, but he still has been more consistent than his counterpart. By the way, in nine lifetime meetings with Colorado, which includes two starts, he is 3-1 with an ERA of 4.08. Just the way the Giants own the Rockies, and the way that their bats have come alive in this Division rivalry this season, compels me side with them here on the run line. Take San Francisco -1.5 runs. Thank you.
