The Seattle Mariners are sitting at .500 at 51-51, just a half-game back of the Texas Rangers in the American League West. Prior to yesterday‘s defeat, they dominated the Cincinnati Reds, taking seven of the eight previous meetings, going back several seasons. The Reds are a train wreck, my friends. They sit in last place in the National League Central at 46-54, 16.5-games back. They struggle on the road where they are just 24-26. Compare that to the Mariners home record of 30-22, and it shows you where we’re going here. Cincinnati’s offense ranks at or near the bottom of the barrel in just about every major category. That does not bode well as they must face the fifth-ranked pitching staff in baseball. Yes, it’s true. The Seattle offense leaves a lot to be desired. However, the Reds hitting has been deplorable. As far as pitching goes, today starters are scheduled to be Singer and Hancock. The Cincinnati right-hander is 4-9 with a 4.56 ERA on the campaign, while the Seattle right-hand has been much more impressive, earning a 6-4 record with a very respectable ERA of 3.17. The team has dropped 12 of Singer’s last 14 outings. On the road this season, he has been absolutely horrible with a dismal record of 1-5 and an ERA of 6.14. At home in 2026, Hancock has earned a respectable record of 3-2 with a very low ERA of 2.92. I really like the Mariners here. They almost made is as a premium play for me. But I still find there’s enormous value with them and this line. Take Seattle. Thank you.
