In my opinion, there's no question the Los Angeles Dodgers will be competing for the NL Crown once again this season. They own a seven–game lead in the NL West, sporting one of the best overall records in the NL at 29-17. However, they've dropped back-to-back games. They haven't dropped three in a row since the second week of April. To make it worse, in those last two defeats the last two days, their offense was held to a total of three runs scored. This is very uncharacteristic for a lineup that ranks in the top three in just about every major category in baseball. I'm not looking to put down the Reds, because they have been a thorn in the side of the Dodgers, winning five of the last seven meetings going back to June of last season. But I just don't see this team, which by the way is just 9-12 on the road in 2024, holding down the vengeful Dodgers lineup again today. Starting pitchers are scheduled to be Frankie Montas and James Paxton. There's no question the Los Angeles hurler has put up much better numbers. I just feel the Dodgers cannot afford another poor outing, and a third consecutive defeat. I feel the offense will light up the scoreboard here so much so they might have to change the bulbs in it after the game. They're a high price and I wouldn't lay it because I don't see value it. But I feel Los Angeles on the run line is the play. Thank you.
