The White Sox and Rangers open their series with this game today. The Rangers are coming off of a tough series loss to the Braves, they'll look to turn things around in this series.
Climbing the hill for the Texas Rangers on Monday's game will be the right-hander Jacob deGrom. deGrom has been pitching solid this season with a 7-5 record and a 3.49 ERA with 122 strikeouts. He has been good enough when pitching against the Chicago White Sox, posting a 0-0 record with a 1.80 ERA over 20 innings of work. deGrom has thrown at least 6 innings in 4 out of his last 5 starts.
The Chicago White Sox turn to right-hander Erick Fedde on Monday. Fedde has not been good this season with a 5-6 record and a 4.28 ERA with 54 strikeouts. Fedde has found some more velocity lately which is a little strange and something to keep an eye on. The sinker cranked up to 96 mph.
The Rangers have dominated this series, going 8-2 in their last 10 against the White Sox. The Rangers have knocked in 5 runs per game in their last 5 when taking on right handed pitching. Wyatt Langford has been in and out of the lineup this season but he's healthy now and homered in the Rangers last game. He is hitting .368 over his last 16 games.
