Minnesota rolls onto the game with one of the best teams in the game. The attack of Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Rudy Gobert put up around 61 ppg between them. Gobert is a consistent rebounder, and Edwards and KAT both give Minnesota that big-outburst on offense. This collectively makes them really tough to defend. Brooklyn's SG Cam Thomas has been good, but completing just 1-9 of his shots for 5 points like he did on 2.14.2024 against the Celtics isn't going to get it done. The Nets have just been bad, giving up an average of 38% shooting from the arc. Brooklyn needs top ended production to get their 21st ranked offense clicking here. But the way they have been, that's a stretch. An ugly defensive struggle is the only likely path to getting a W - and Brooklyn is just not equipped to match Minnesota. Minnesota wins by 12 or more points tonight!
