Pittsburgh pinged out a 9-2 win over the Phillies on 4.14.2024, then they fell 6-3 in the Mets matchup, they haven't been the most consistent. But they have one of the top half pitching staffs in the league, ranking around 13th in ERA. Through 108+ innings this season Pittsburgh has whiffed 102 batters, putting them at 3rd in the majors. Boston desperately needs a bounce-back after a disappointing series vs Cleveland. But this is going to be hard. The Sox looked to pick up a huge series win through 4.9.2024 - 4.11.2024 over the O's after winning 2/3 vs the Angels, but proceeded to drop the next 3 games to Baltimore. With an anorexic .161 average through 20 games, Boston's Ceddanne Rafaela has been nothing short of terrible. This doesn't help matters. Pittsburgh Pirates win!
