That's right my friends, we have two big tournaments going off today, and I have isolated two big winners in the Players Era Championship tournament being played right here in Las Vegas, Nevada. Monday is a FREE WINNER: Auburn Tigers.
Game 863
5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST.
Coming into today's matchup, the Auburn Tigers are ranked No. 22 in the nation. They do have something to prove as they are just two-points away from being a perfect 5-0 this early in the campaign. Yes, they are 4-1 overall, both straight up and against the spread, with their only defeat coming in a heartbreaking, one-point loss, 73-72, to the No. 2 team in college basketball, the Houston Cougars. They also come into this matchup covering for straight outings. They face an Oregon Ducks opponent, which happens to be a perfect 4-0 on the campaign straight up, but is being seriously overvalued, as they have failed to cover a single game thus far this season. I feel the line is a little short here. Maybe it's because the Tigers will be without their leading-scorer and rebounder, Keyshawn Hall. The standout forward is averaging 23.3 PPG and 10.3 RPG. Yes, at first glance because he is sidelined here, we think about taking the Ducks. But Auburn is so deep and so talented, even without him on the floor, they still have six players averaging double-digits, and overall, a team accounting for over 93.4 PPG. Oregon is the defending Players Era tournament champion. While their opponent played their last game on 19th of November, they have not taken the floor since the 17th, and might come in here a little rusty. While this team does possess some depth, and certainly has some talent, overall, they're not shooting very well, hitting just 40.4% overall from the floor. I believe they're also at a big disadvantage on the boards in this matchup at both ends of the court. I think the Ducks are a good team, my friends. I just think in this matchup especially against a Tigers opponent which is looking to still redeem themselves from that tough loss to the Cougars eight days ago, they are overmatched. Take Auburn. Thank you.
