Thursday’s FREE WINNER: OVER in the ARMY/ECU matchup. Games 103/104. 4:30 PMN PST/7:30 PM EST. This is a very interesting matchup, my friends. Not only do both teams reside in the AAC. But both teams are tailor-made for one another. My point being, I think there's going be so much scoring in this game they might have to change the bulbs in the scoreboard after the game because they're going to burn out (lol). These two teams played last October as Army prevailed on their own home field, 45-28, going over the total. That matchup got ECU head coach, Mike Houston fired last season. Granted, the Black Knights are playing on a short week, and come off an overtime game to boot, which is not ideal for this team. But they do enter this matchup with two of their three contests this season flying over the total, and one game coming very close. One can say East Carolina is off to a great start at 2-2 with their 2 losses coming to two solid teams (NC State and BYU). This team has an explosive offense, led by a darn good quarterback. They currently rank 12th in passing in the nation, and this does not bode well for their opponent defense, which is giving up an average of nearly 200 yards per game in the air already. But on the flipside, one thing Army can do, is run the football. Granted, ECU has looked good against their opponents ground attack so far this season. But they have not had to face the juggernaut of which they're going to face this week with the Black Knights ground attack. Army runs for over 300-yards per game on the ground, and I believe this is going to be a big downfall for their opponent here. The Black Knights will eat up the clock, and control the tempo of the game. They will keep the Pirates defense on the field as best they can. But being that both teams’ offensive strengths can exploit their opponents defenses big time here, compels me to take the over. Watch out for the Black Knights ground attack and the Pirates air assault. This game flies over the total. Take the over. Thank you.
