Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: American League vs. National League
Tuesday, July 14, 2026 8:00 PM
Play: Money Line: -130 National League
The NL comes into the All Star game with historically elite pitching on their side. Chris Sanchez will come out first and he has a 2.00 ERA over 117 innings this season. Sale 8-3, 2.01 ERA in 2026. Chase Burns in a Cy Young contender. Paul Skenes who has had a down year but can still give the NL an inning or less of elite stuff. Jacob Misiorowski has a rocket of an arm and is a Cy Young contender, he may only pitch one batter since he is dealing with some arm soreness. The bullpen for the NL also has Mason Miller and Jhoan Duran.

On the other side the AL pitching staff is just second tier. Tarik Skubal, likely the AL's best starter, is not on the roster due to missing 5 weeks of the season. Yankees ace Cam Schlittler is confirmed to not pitch in the game. The AL's staff includes Dylan Cease, Parker Messick, Joe Ryan, Michael Wacha, and Drew Rasmussen. That's a solid group but clearly second rate relative to the NL's rotation. The AL is also missing two big bats in Aaron Judge and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. due to injury. Take the NL to win the All Star game in Philly.
