College Football Team Totals

As much as we want to think that we can't really predict who will be playing for the National Championship in August, this year might be one of the most predictable ones. Alabama has one of the easiest schedules in the nation this year and it's tough to see them being dethroned. Let's take a look at some teams that should be playing Over the suggested Team Total of Wins this year.

Alabama Over 10.5 Wins

The Tide look to win their third National Championship in four years and I'm hard pressed to not see that in their future. They've got one of the easiest schedules in the nation this year with really two BIG games, at Texas A&M and hosting LSU. And what do you know, they get bye weeks before both of those games. The only other team that poses a threat is Ole Miss. But after watching Ole Miss struggle with Vandy I'm not sure they'll be able to slay the beast that is Alabama. Not only are they getting bye weeks before their two toughest games they also lucked out in not playing any of the East's elite teams. They don't play Georgia, Florida, or South Carolina. The only way they don't make it to the Championship is if Georgia can pull the upset in the SEC Championship game, and let's forget that UGA was pretty close to doing it last year.

TCU Over 8 Wins

I'm not really going out on a limb in my National Championship prediction of Alabama taking on Ohio State but the Horned Frogs are my Dark Horse to play for the National Championship. Gary Patterson did a hell of a job in his first year in the Big XII, and that was with some huge speed bumps along the way. He had to deal with player suspensions and he lost his starting QB half way through the year to an alcohol problem. QB Casey Pachall is back and he could be one of the most under valued quarterbacks in the nation. The Big XII could easily be a joke this year with OU and WVU replacing NFL level QBs and UT still trying to find an identity. Their one true test is at Oklahoma State October 19th. There's one team that nobody has in the National Championship and that's TCU. Everyone is selling so we're buying, take TCU to EASILY play Over the 8 Wins.

Here's a quick look at some teams to play Under their Team Totals

Texas A&M Under 9.5 Wins

Expectations were at an all time low for the Aggies when they made the move to the SEC last year. Now they're at an unrealistic all time high. Yes, Johnny Football dodged the NCAA bullet but what nobody is talking about is the loss of Offensive Coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. It's a bigger loss than most think. Alabama comes to town in a few weeks and that's one game that Nick Saban has had circled in red for almost a year. Bama ain't going 0-2 to Texas A&M in as many years. I also don't give A&M much of a chance going to Death Valley for a night game against LSU. They struggled against Ole Miss last year and that game is no gimme this year. You know the public is all over this Over so we're playing contrarian on taking the Aggies to go Under the 9.5 wins.

Oklahoma Under 9 Wins

The Sooners lost Landry Jones to the NFL and he had recorded the most wins in school history. They thought they had his replacement groomed and ready for action with the Bell Dozer but now he doesn't even appear to buy the starter. OU is going to have their hands full with teams like TCU, Oklahoma State, UT and the new look Red Raiders. Looks to be a rebuilding year in Norman so we'll play the Sooners to go Under the high Total of 9 wins.
