College Football Final Four Preview

NCAAF Final Four:

1. Ohio State - I thought the Buckeyes were a year away from rising to dominance and they still went on to win the National Championship with a 3rd string QB. Going into this year they upgrade at QB and have a much easier schedule. It's tough to see this team not going undefeated this year. The one team I could see them sleeping on is Penn State but with that game going to OT last year Urban will have his boys ready. I like for the Buckeyes to definitely make a reappearance in this year's Final Four and they are my pick to win it all and defend their title.

2. TCU - It's tough to play contrarian this year with TCU and Ohio State as the pre-season #1 and #2 seeds and I'm picking TCU to win the Big XII outright this year and claim a spot in the Final Four. This TCU offense returns 10 starters on offense and they're loaded. The Frogs don't have a tough non-conference schedule, one Big 10 game at Minnesota. The downside of not having a conference championship will still be lurking over the Frogs' heads as the year winds down, because if they lose their last game to Baylor November 27th they might once again find themselves on the outside looking in.

3. Notre Dame - I was conservative with my first two picks, time to go out on a limb. I didn't have an SEC team in the Final Four last year and I'm gonna call that again this year. The schedules are just too tough and it's really hard to see a team not having at least two losses as the conference champ. Bama has a chance but they close at Auburn and then have an SEC Title game. The Irish come into the 2015 season flying a bit under the radar and despite them having a conference title game, they always have the strength of schedule to impress. This is a defense that returns nine and appears to have a new phenom at QB in Malik Zaire. If they can get past Georgia Tech and go into Clemson and escape with a W they have real shot at getting into this year's Final Four.

4. UCLA - The PAC-12 is wide-open this years and the public is still all over the Ducks. Florida State and Oregon should take a step back this year with both teams losing their QBs to the overall #1 and #2 picks to the NFL. The Bruins return all five O-Line men, 3 WRs, and Paul Perkins at RB not to mention eight defensive starters. The have weapons everywhere and the only reason people are overlooking them is the fact that they're starting a freeman at QB in John Rosen. You can't overlook to recent success of freshman at the college level, look at Manziel and Jameis Winston. It's a different day and age and the freshman can adapt faster than ever before. I'm ruling the dice and calling for the Bruins to claim a spot as the PAC-12 representative.

So excited to have football right around the corner, good luck to all.
