COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 11 MOTIVATIONAL SPOTS

Knowing motivational spots here are essential to picking winning selections this time of year in college football. There are so many different factors in play with these games that just knowing the X’s and O’s of match-ups aren’t enough to building your bankroll. Here’s an overview of the best motivational spots in the games on Saturday.

OKLAHOMA STATE at TEXAS - The Longhorns were completely embarrassed again this season in a loss last week at Kansas State. Texas was able to beat Nebraska on the road a few weeks ago when motivated coming off of a loss. However, it will be interesting to see how they will deal with the Cowboys spread offense because their defense is built more towards stopping power rushing teams.

IOWA at NORTHWESTERN - The Hawkeyes have a huge revenge game looming next week at home to Ohio State. However, first they have to go on the road and play a quality Northwestern team as almost a 10 point favorite. Iowa was trailing at Indiana last week 13-9 in the 4th quarter as an 18 point favorite before pulling out the win, so they may be looking ahead to next week’s big game.

UL MONROE at LSU - One of last week’s biggest games was Alabama at LSU, and the Tigers were able to pull out a very emotional road win after trailing earlier in the game. There is a significant talent gap between these two teams though, and LSU could cover this game with a decent effort. UL Monroe has played two SEC opponents already this season, but they were blown out by Auburn.

STANFORD at ARIZONA STATE - Stanford is coming off of a big primetime road win against Arizona at home last week, and now they have to go on the road and play a supposedly much weaker team in Arizona State. The Cardinal also have their annual rivalry game against California looming next week. They are a road favorite here, so it will be interesting to see what kind effort they show against a scrappy Arizona State team.

NEVADA at FRESNO STATE - Fresno State has a huge game looming on Friday against Boise State, which will be the featured weekday game. Before they travel for that road game though they have a very tough home game against an outstanding Nevada team. All the comments coming from the Fresno State team make it seem like they are focused though. The Bulldogs were embarrassed by Nevada last year though, so the revenge factor is likely to get them motivated and not look ahead to Boise State.

UTEP at ARKANSAS - This game is a tough sandwich spot for the Razorbacks. They are coming off of a huge road win at South Carolina last week and have another conference road game next week at Mississippi State. Both teams are quality conference opponents as well. UTEP is capable of putting points on the road too, and they are almost a 30 point underdog here. However, their defense will struggle against Arkansas’ offense. It will be interesting to see what kind of effort the Razorbacks defense gives though.

SAN DIEGO STATE at TCU - TCU is coming off a huge road win at previously undefeated Utah. That win was one of their biggest of the season and assures the Horned Frogs that they will likely make it to a BCS bowl. However, now they face a very quality San Diego State team as a four touchdown favorite. The Aztecs have quietly showed improvement this season under head coach Brady Hoke. TCU has been a point spread covering machine though, and they could cover the point spread just by winning 31-0. The Aztecs might not even be able to cover even if TCU doesn’t play well.
