Blue Jays vs. Dodgers Wednesday Over/Under Selection

Sleepy Scoreboards? Early Day Game Might Clip Blue Jays-Dodgers Wings

Listen up, sports fanatics! Baseball never sleeps, and neither do we. The Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers are set to play yet another thrilling clash in their three-game series. But if you're expecting a repeat of the high-scoring drama that ensued on Tuesday night, you might want to hold your horses.

Historically, early day games following high-scoring night games tend to lean on the lower scoring side. It’s like the universe's way of saying, “Chill, that was a lot of adrenaline last night. Let's take it down a notch.” Now, that’s not to say we won’t have an exciting game on our hands. We just might not see the scoreboard light up like a Christmas tree.

On Tuesday, the Blue Jays and Dodgers combined for a whopping 15 runs in an extra-inning spectacle. Toronto is on a roll, scoring at least four runs in three straight games and four of its last five. Meanwhile, the Dodgers have been on fire too, tallying at least three runs in seven straight games. The bats have been hot, but history suggests they might cool down for this daytime game.

The responsibility to keep the runs at bay will fall on the shoulders of the starting pitchers - Yu Kikuchi for the Blue Jays and Tony Gonsolin for the Dodgers. Kikuchi has allowed just one earned run in his last two starts, while Gonsolin has won three straight starts after dropping three in a row.

With both pitchers looking to make a statement, it's shaping up to be a showdown that could potentially keep the run total at bay. The over/under betting line is set at 10 across all sportsbooks. My model says it should be closer to 9.5 runs!

Remember, no bet is a sure thing. But with the right data and a solid understanding of these teams, you can make an educated guess that might pay off. So, grab your lucky baseball cap, sit back, and let's watch how this day unfolds. After all, in baseball, anything can happen. And that, my friends, is why we love this game.

My Selection: Blue Jays vs. Dodgers Under 10 (-105)
