We are all excited to see the college football season quickly approaching. I would like to take some time and give a quick look at the ACC. I'm expecting Clemson and Florida State to finish at the top of the Atlantic division. The Coastal division should see Duke and UNC at the top. Clemson has some solid offensive power behind quarterback Deshaun Watson which should catapult them to compete for the ACC title. Clemson will face Louisville and South Carolina on the road which will give their defense a test. Clemson is scheduled to face FSU November 7th in Death Valley which could be for the ACC title. Florida State has a lot of talent even after losing 12 starters from last season. FSU will look to continue their 24 game ACC winning streak. The Seminoles have a couple interesting matchups in vs Louisville and Georgia Tech which could spell trouble. Duke has a chance to finish at the top of the Coastal division for the 2nd time in 3 seasons. The Blue Devils will be lead by new quarterback Thomas Sirk. The Blue Devils will benefit from not having to face Louisville, Clemson or FSU. The North Carolina Tar Heels have a new defensive coordinator Gene Chizik who will look to turn the defensive unit around. The Tar Heels ranked ninth in points allowed last season in the FBS. UNC like Duke will benefit from not having Clemson, FSU or Louisville on their schedule. UNC should be competitive in every game on their schedule this season and will look to land a respectable bowl game. Be on the lookout for a more in depth look at the ACC.
