| First of all, Vic does not release “Games of the Week” or “Picks of the Millennium” because this rating system is completely arbitrary. It serves as nothing more than a marketing ploy and should immediately set off sirens in your head when you see these terms.
Vic uses a well defined unit betting system in order to reduce the risks associated with sports betting. For the average bettor, he suggests 1 unit = 2.5% of your bankroll. Vic releases his plays on a scale of 0.5 – 2.0 units, meaning that no more than 5% of your bankroll should be placed on a single game under any circumstance.
As your bankroll increases the % of your bankroll you wager per game should decrease. The reason for this is that most bettors do not have $20,000 bankrolls so some added risk is necessary to actually make money. If a bettor with a $2,000 bankroll used a 1% unit bet he would never make any significant profit. |

| Money Management |
| Money management is the biggest problem most bettors face whether you are talking about betting on sports or playing a table game. This is an extensive topic that is covered in many fields, but most often associated with finance. This is where Vic has a significant edge over many of his competitors considering he graduated with a degree in finance.
A unit betting strategy is the most important aspect of money management. Having a winning percentage every season can only take you so far. If you are varying your bet sizes too dramatically you can easily end up a loser even with a win rate of over 60%. Vic increases the number of units bet based on careful statistical analysis which explains why his bets of over 1 unit had a win rate of 73% in 2009.
Even if you usually stay true to the unit betting system there is always a tendency to lose control when things are going very well or very poorly. Every bettor knows the dangers of going on tilt, but few realize that it can be just as bad for your profitability to get too high on recent wins. When people are up money they tend to treat it with less regard than their actual bankroll. This makes no sense because the money you have won is now part of your bankroll. While he cannot control what you do with your money, Vic does advise his clients to consider increasing the size of their unit bet only when they have increased their bankroll by about 50%.
