Tough loss with your Free play last night, as Florida battled back only to lose in the 8th. Today we are going with the Mets as a light play. Dickey is going to be looking for a pay day after this season. Dickey had made 48 starts in his entire career before this year, and in 2010 he will be making his 22nd start, looking for a career high 10th win, and an era under 3. The guy has only given up 5 earned or more in a game 3 times this year, one time being in his last start. In the other 2 times he followed up with 7 innings pitched and 0 earned runs and 7 innings a 1 earned run. So we look for him to really bring it today.

3* Balt - Have you noticed what a difference Bucky has made in Balt. For a while it looked as if Balt was going to lose 110-120 games, now with a decent Sept they might not even get to double digits, and could pass 3 other teams in the AL. The public is going to say no way the Yanks get swept at home by this team. But like I said, this is not the same O's team we say for the first 90 games. Now the pressure on Nova to break this slide at home. Balt may still be weak in the pitching department, but these guys can hit. So at this price how do we not take Balt. 3* BALT.

4* Clev - I can't remember the last time the Angles were this bad? 7 games under .500 and in 3rd place? .500 at home? I think we can say they just don't have it this year. And while I believe most teams don't quit, I think a team that is so used to winning and going to the playoffs that when they have a year like this, they just don't care anymore. Plus what in the world happened to Kazmir?? Lets take Clev. 4* CLEV.

4* Toronto - I like what Ceto has done with this club. I love all their young pitchers. I like how they keep plugging along even though the playoffs are out of reach. Texas looks as if they just have ran out of gas. Its too early to completely write them off, but they just aren't the same. They can't win on the road, the pitching isn't as good, and they have hit a wall. Lets ride Toronto here. 4* TORONTO.

4* Rockies - We nailed Colorado the last 2 days, and all you have to do is read my write up from yesterday as to why we are going with them again. I would have the game rated higher, but Arroyo has been solid and is capable of getting the Reds a win here, but the Rockies overall are just HOT. 4* ROCKIES.

5* Pitt - We are going out on a limb and taking Pitt again. Braves have been in first place since the end of May. Now they are going to be doing the chasing. Public is going to be all over the Braves here, as Lowe is 9-0 in his career against Pitt. This would make Pitt's season to sweep the mighty braves, and their fans. Lowe has been stuggling, so I can see this happening tonight. 5* PITT.

3* Pitt - Just a light play here. We faded the Braves a few weeks back when they were road, noting their hitting is down and the bull pen isn't the same. Pitt as usual is the worst team in the NL, but at home they are only 6 games under .500. Public will be all over the Braves to bounce back here. 3* PITT

Florida - Nice dog here. These teams always do battle, so even though the Marlins won't be going to the post season, they sure as heck don't want the Phillies going. They seem to play well in Philly so we'll take them tonight at this price.

4* Rockies - Coming right back with the red hot Rockies who are 22 games over .500 at home. We told you yesterday that the rockies were a great play on the run line, down 4-0 early they come storming back. Colorado really seems to turn it up late August into September. Chacin has been on fire lately, giving up only 2 earned runs in his last 20 innings pitched. 4* ROCKIES.

5* Arizona - This looks like it has trap written all over it. SF red hot, throwing 2 time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum, and SF is only -125? Enright has been lights out lately. In my opinion, Lincecum isn't the same this year. He's just has too many bad outings. Maybe he is getting tested for weed all the time and can't smoke? We'll take Enright as a home dog. 5* ARIZONA

Nats - We are going to take the Nats at home as they are 3 games over .500 and the Mets are a brutal 17 under on the road. Mets banged out 21 hits yesterday, today they will probably have 2, thats how inconsistent this team is. We'll be back at 1:30 with any more baseball and cfb.

Col -1.5 - Rockies are hot right now Jimenez is starting to get his old form back, after a little slide. I won't lay almost 200 against this tough Cinci team, but if Jimenez is on, laying the 1.5 is a safe bet. 4* COLOADO -1.5

4* Arizona - I can the Giants letting down a little after last night, playing a last place team. 4* ARIZONA

4* Navy - Navy is a tough team, who won 10 games last year including an easy win against Missouri in their bowl game. Maryland had 2 3 point wins last year, that was it. While they should be improved, Navy is just better. 4* NAVY

5* V'tech - Wow, has this line moved. I wish we were getting +2 instead of -2. Boise st is getting a lot of respect here. I love V'tech's ground game and their D, and of course special teams. Boise is returning all of their starts but 1, and last year gave up 17 ppg in the WAC, not really that impressive considering the teams they play. We need V'tech's D to force some turnovers and for V'tech to run it down their throats. 5* V'TECH

Opinion

5* Tulsa - We are going to back Tulsa here as they got crushed by these guys last year, and lost the year before that. Tulsa will be more improved this year, as some top offensive weapons are back. 5* TULSA

5* S.F. - We are backing SF here, as the gas is out of the LAD tank after blowing that 4-0 lead yesterday. After winning back to back west titles the LAD won't even make the playoffs. Kuroda is coming off a big win over the Phillies in which he took a no hitter into the 8th. I can see him getting hit tonight I know Sanchez has never beaten the LAD, but the Giants are just playing so good right now. 5* S.F.

4* Rockies - A week ago I heard the Padres were trying to avoid their first 4 games losing streak of the year, and I said they were going to lose that game, and watch this turn into something. Here we are a week later and they are shooting for #10 in a row. Thats a lot for a team that was 27 games over .500, now 18 over. You know they are pressing big time. 10 days ago you thought the division was over, now they are only 2 up. Don't forget the Philles have a great shot at the WC, so if SF catches them SD might not even make the playoffs. Should make for a good last 4 weeks. Until SD wins, we'll fade them. 4* ROCKIES.

10* Uconn - We are going with Uconn here. We like the direction this program is moving. They finished 2009 strong, by beating SC in a bowl game. This team also went through a lot last year, and still stayed focused. They are returning their QB, along with their top rusher and reciever. The offensive line is young. Michigan still has a long way to go. Its hard to believe how far this program has fallen. It was just 2007 when they went 9-4 and beat Florida in a Bowl game. 3 wins in 2008 and 5 wins in 2009. Going into Michigan on opening day isn't going to be easy, but Uconn has the talent and weapons to take these guys down. 10* UCONN

4* Florida - The post Tebow era begins at noon. Urban Myer is a great coach, and I think he is just trying to get the young guys motivated by saying they aren't as good as he thought they were going to be. Going into Florida is never easy, even if you are a top SEC team, but Miami Oh has no shot here. This is a game where Florida can try new things and build confidence. They should crush these guys. 4* FLORIDA.

5* Oklahoma - Look for Oklahoma who is now healthy to unload on these guys. Last year started bad for Oklahoma when Bradford got hurt and the injuries just continued. Utah st hasn't had a winning record since 1996. Oklahoma should have 28-35 points by the half, and 45+ for the game. 5* OKLAHOMA

4* Nebraska - Nebraska will be as dominant on D even with Suh in the NFL, the defensive returns 7 starters. W.K. is riding a 20 game losing streak, and it will be 21 after this game, its just a matter of how bad the beating is. Its all about running up the score the first 2 weeks. 4* NEBRASKA.
