Both are outstanding statistically, but it appears Dice K is hitting his stride. He is 4-0 on the road with a 2.20 ERA. Kazmir has been great at home, 4-1, 1.24, and is a formidable mound opponent. Many people would say Bobby Williams is crazy for playing against the Sox at home where they have one of the best records IN THE BIGS. The determining factor is C.C. Sabatthia who is returning to last year's form when he won 20+ games. Sure he is only 6-8, 3.75 ERA after a horrible start. But more importantly in five games in June he went 3-1, lowered his ERA 1.03, gave up only 8 earned runs in 38 innings pitched, and had 44 K's and double digit K's in three of the five starts. He is 3rd in the AL in innings pitched, Ist in strikeouts, and second in complete games. Jose Contreras for the Sox was 2-3 in June and raised his ERA 1.10 points, was 2-3 and didn't average six innings per outing. He also gave up 3 home runs in two straight games.
