Jay Cutler told FOXSports.com Wednesday night that he thought he would be dealt to an NFC team.

The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly released wide receiver Terrell Owens.

The Dallas Morning News reported Owens' release Wednesday night, citing a source. The report said Owens was informed of his release by team officials, and that the Cowboys will take a salary cap hit of about $9 million.
