1- New York Jets (5-1) Still Have everything going right, Revis claims he is 100% healthy after the bye week. Good news for Jets fans.
2-Pittsburgh Steelers (5-1) Squeaked a controversial win out over the Dolphins in Miami.
3- New England Patriots (5-1) Winning when the games are close and they can win the opened up games, truly not ready to fade away yet.
4-Baltimore Ravens (5-2) Struggled terribly against the sieve like defense of the Buffalo Bills, should’ve been an unequal game as was expected.
5-Indianapolis Colts (4-2) Manning tore apart Houston in week one, I expect the same in their upcoming rematch
6- New York Giants (5-2) Giants have a great Defensive line, Manning’s receivers are becoming a legit threat on every down.
7- Atlanta Falcons (5-2) Shows poise and maturity holding off the aggressive Bengals in a shootout.
8-Houston Texans (4-2) Houston with Indy coming up next week has a ton to prove if they are going to be the champs in the AFC South.
9- Tennessee Titans (5-2)The Titans have proven there worth, even with Chris Johnson being human, with what was pre seasoned as one of the toughest schedules in the NFL this season.
10- Kansas City Chiefs (4-2) The leagues number 1 ranked running game(176/gm) and 6th ranked defense vs the run (90/gm)makes for an interesting combination. The Chiefs are a legit team to watch out for.
NFL POW (PLAYER OF THE WEEK)
DeAngelo Hall (CB, Washington Redskins) Picked off QB Jay Cutler 4 times, tying an NFL record, including 1 for a pick 6 for a 92 yard return. Skins 2 time pro bowl, defensive back, Hall claims he knew Cutler would “test him”; Hall won this battle as the Skins defeated the NFC North leading Bears 17-14
Hard-hitting matchups this week to watch for; Pittsburgh at New Orleans (New Orleans is starting to tail off, only 4-3, in 3rd place in the NFC South. The Steelers seem to have everything going there way, after their 23-22 win over Miami on the road. Steelers 1st ranked rushing defense vs the 5th ranked passing game of the Saints will be interesting.), Minnesota at New England (More drama on top of more drama. Firstly, this could be the game; the game the illustrious Bret Favre ends his 291 consecutive game streak. Will Childress pull the trigger, it certainly seems he may. If so, how will Tarvaris Jackson do in his big start vs a top contender in the AFC? Not even getting into Randy Moss’s retribution factor, you know he would like a handful of TDs to stick in Belichek’s face. Great stuff here.)
Green Bay at NY Jets (Jets are scoring 22/game at home, the Pack score only 19 on the road. Revis says he is healthy and ready to go, which means we may start seeing the brilliant defensive back combination we expected this team to have this season.) Tennessee at San Diego (San Diego has seemingly found every possible way to lose a game. Titans have been running the ball very well, which may give the stumbling Chargers more than they can handle. Can Norv Turner’s job be in trouble with a loss here?) Houston at Indianapolis (Week 1, Texans 34, Colts 24. I am pretty sure every Colt remembers that game, and so does Houston. This is a clash for the division, is Houston the team in the AFC South? Or are the Colts not ready to relinquish this division just yet?)
