Well, If you are a sports fanatic like myself then by now you should know all about the tragic event that took place earlier in the season when these two teams faced. Bryan Stow, a long time Giants fan but a loving father and husband first was beaten so brutally doctors were unsure whether or not he would live. The most current news on Mr. Stow is that he had surgery on his head and although there were minor complications, he seems to be making small progress. As a Professional Sports Handicapper my job is to pick winners for paying clients and to do so at a very consistent pace. I have my free play for this game posted at the bottom and will go into extreme detail on it as well.

The Giants take the field tonight in what will surely be a very close eyed contest by not only the fans, but the LAPD as well. Since the gutless beating a group of Dodgers fans gave Bryan Stow early in the season, Dodgers Owner Frank McCourt and the entire police department in LA have vowed to dial up the security in a drastic way to make sure something like this does not happen again. I acknowledge that Sports is more then just an emotional game for a fan, if you truly love a team then, well, it's a way of life. When they do well, your mood enhances, when they perform badly, you become upset. That is the way a "die hard" sports fanatic feels internally. However, the acts of violence that danger peoples lives are not acceptable.

So folks, please remember that with all the pride and passion that comes with fully supporting the team you love, there is a sense of responsibility that must come along with it.

FREE PLAY MONDAY: Dodgers/Giants UNDER 6.5

In terms of hitting, these two teams are both well below average. Aubrey Huff leads the Giants in home runs with nine of them as he has added 46 RBIs. The next highest RBI leader on San Francisco has 33. The Dodgers are a different story. Matt Kemp has been tremendous this season while Andre Ethier has also been very productive. After that, there's nothing. Kemp has 72 RBIs in what has been an outstanding season with Ethier next at 44. Considering the lack of pop the Giants have and the wildly weak lineup the Dodgers send out there, runs tonight should be a premium.

Ryan Vogelsong has not just been an effective rookie, he has been one of the better pitchers in the game over this first half of the season posting a 6-1 record with a stellar 2.17 ERA. Billingsley had struggles for a bit but has been awesome lately. 8-7 with a 3.87 ERA this year, 2-1 with a 1.23 ERA over his last three starts. These two teams can not hit at all. Look for a very low scoring game. Play on the UNDER.
