Blockbuster trade done on Monday 11/3 as the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets finally got on the same page to work out the deal that sends Allen Iverson to Detroit for Chauncy Billups, Antonio McDyess, and Cheikh Samb. With this deal does that close the gap between Boston and Detroit or hurt their chances of getting deep into the playoffs and a shot at another title? In my opinion it helps Detroit as they have a great number one scorer along with a solid number two in Richard Hamilton with Rasheed Wallace and Tayshaun Prince chipping in when needed on the offensive end with their focus mainly on the defensive end. Within their own division the addition helps as Iverson can go bucket for bucket when the Pistons play against LeBron James and Cleveland with the Piston supporting cast better than Cleveland’s. Look for Iverson to thrive back in the Eastern Conference.
