Over the course of the last few NFL Picks years there has been much talk about parity. In fact, for the most part, if you were a bettor who just loved to wager on the favorites you would have drained your NFL Picks bankroll and made your book maker very happy. However, this season has seen the reversal of fortunes. So much for parity as the NFL Picks favorite has dominated this season. With that in mind I decided to take a look at how good teams fair during the second half of the NFL Picks season. I definded a "good team" as one that is either undefeated or outscoring their opponents by more than 10 points per game. The teams that fall into this category this season are Indianapolis, New England, New Orleans, and Philadelphia. So, let's take a look Top Teams Situational NFL Picks after Week 8 In Weeks 9 and beyond top teams are 81-32 SU and 58-54-1 ATS (51.8 percent). - As road underdogs in Weeks 9 and beyond, these teams are 13-14 SU & 16-11 ATS (59.3%) since 2000. - As road favorites, these teams are 45-19 SU but only 26-36-2 ATS (41.9%) after the halfway point since 2000. If they are a favorite of eight points or more they are an even worse 5-10 ATS. One range that you'll want to stay away from is between a 8.5 and 9.5 road favorite as they are 1-6 ATS in that rol - In Week 9 if you happen to catch one of these teams as a rare underdog consider that they are 3-6 SU but 6-3 ATS. - If one of these "good teams" are at home and listed as single-digit favorite or underdog then you have something as they are 51-25 SU and 45-30
ATS (60%) over the last nine years. - If you want to jump on them as a double-digit home favorite you better thank again as they are only 13-24 ATS (35.%) since 2000. Sorting through these trends and angles and coming up with and NFL Picks based strickly on the above we have this weeks Predictions: Indianapolis -9; Miami +10.5; Philadelphia -3; Carolina +13.
